I still have my Rand McNally World Atlas circa 1982. I used it as a travel writer for 15 years, and cannot part with it even though the world has changed. I relied upon that atlas thousands of times, under great deadline pressure, to traverse the globe with great accuracy from the armchair of my office.

It was one year ago today that The Travel Adventures of Lilly P Badilly was published! It’s been an amazing year! We’ve met so many incredible people – teachers, principals, professors, librarians, students, non-profit workers, authors, publishers, reviewers, toddlers, moms, dads, grandparents, publicists, journalists, designers, printers, advertisers and more. We’ve been favorably reviewed, we won a national book award, we created Ask Lilly Badilly All About the World, and best of all, we’ve encouraged kids to read and have helped to pique their curiosity about the world!
