- Do some simple eavesdropping everywhere you go.
- Check out really weird news stories.
- Get a lead from something hilarious, stupid, annoying, nice, weird) your spouse said/did.
- Watch your pet play.
- Be inspired by bad service you had at a store.
- Think of several unusual people you know who do not go together well and invite them over at the same time.
- Visit your local courthouse and observe a trial. (Just don’t use real stories/names!)
- Volunteer at an elementary school.
- Walk down the alleys in your neighborhood.
- People watch at the airport.
