I Need a Vacation

(from Getting Ready for My Vacation)

I organized and packed

and cleaned all day

And loaded up the car

I have to say

I’m so exhausted from

Getting ready

I’m starting to

Feel unsteady

I need a vacation

From all these chores

Lay on a beach

Along the shores

Should I just stay at home

And lie in bed

And try to get over

This work instead?

Cuz planning a jaunt

Is not a breeze

There is no such a thing

As a trip with ease!
